Veronica | Portland Senior Pictures
Veronica is a gorgeous senior at Tualatin High School! She approached me about taking her senior pictures because she really wanted to do something that was different. “Everyone takes their photos in fields of grass and stuff like that,” she said. “I want to do something unique.” I liked this immediately. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut, shooting in the same locations in the same ways. With Veronica, that was not a problem. We decided to start the shoot later in the evening so we’d be taking photos well into dusk. We started at Tryon Creek State Park, (which I had never even heard of before) and then went downtown to the waterfront to get some photos with the city lights. It had been stormy and rainy all day, but the weather stayed dry for our shoot, only raining while we were driving from the first location to the second. In fact, the stormy weather resulted in some really beautiful light, and the wet streets looked way better in the photos because they reflected all the lights! You never know. Sometimes the worst conditions (dark and wet) can turn into the best!
