Aranda and Ryan | Columbia Gorge Engagement Photography

A year or two ago, I was standing in a bar in Corvallis trying to order a drink, when this gorgeous girl approached me. I recognized her as being a singer in one of OSU’s a capella groups. “Hi!” I said, somewhat confused. “You’re going to shoot my wedding someday,” she replied. “I’m not engaged yet but it’s going to happen soon and you are going to be my photographer.” Honest to god, that was the first ever conversation I had with Aranda. In Peacock Bar and Grill. At like 1 o clock in the morning. But I never forgot it. So when she did get engaged, and she emailed me, and she booked with me, and we set up our engagement shoot, I could not have been more excited. Excited for her. Excited for Ryan. Excited to be working with a couple that trusted me and let me have complete creative control. We started at their cute little home and took a few photos on their doorstep, then hopped in the car and drove out toward the gorge, stopping on a whim wherever we wanted. We shot until dark. I felt like I had two new best friends. I cannot wait for their wedding next summer. It. Will. Be. A. Blast
