Kate and Brian | Portland Wedding Photography
Once upon a time, Kate went to see a game at PGE park. One of her friends’ companies had a private box. Naturally, her friend introduced her to some of his co-workers. But one of them didn’t give her the best first impression. “He picked up his phone during our introduction and gave me the ‘one minute finger,’” Kate told me. “I thought he was an a**hole.” Ouch. But she kept talking to him anyway. And they went on a date later that week. And lo and behold, she realized he was actually an amazing man. So, exactly 7 years from the day they first met, Kate and Brian were married. And It. Was. Beautiful.
Kate started the day getting ready in her hotel room at The Orenco, took a few formals in the park nearby, and then we head to the beautiful venue – McMenamin’s Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Their wedding and reception took place just outside of the Octagonal Barn, with amazing desserts and dancing inside. One of Kate’s good friends Danielle Hoeft is an up-and-coming pastry chef and she made some of the most gorgeous and delicious miniature pies and cupcakes I have ever seen. And of course, Ants in the Kitchen, an awesome bluesy rock n roll band, kept the crowd happy and dancing all night long
Congratulations Kate and Brian!! I had a blast working with you!
