Daniella and Chad | Damascus Wedding Phototgraphy
“Oh God, I love this woman,” he said over and over again as he opened the gift she gave him. I could see his chin quiver, barely managing to hold back tears as a huge smile crept across his face. Because even a man as strong as Chad - a man who has fought in the Middle East and who has probably seen it all - couldn’t hold back his emotions on the beautiful day that he married Daniella. But that’s okay, because their friends and families couldn’t either. In fact, no less than 15 minutes later in the bride’s room, I watched as 15 woman wept tears of happiness as Daniella read Chad’s letter outloud. “You are the answer to so many of my prayers. You are the woman I love with my whole heart and are the most beautiful bride. I can not wait to see you walk down that aisle today!” Tears. All of the tears. This wedding made my heart feel full. I hope that these photos can do it justice
The day took place at the gorgeous East Fork Country Estate in Damascus, Oregon. You could see Mt. Hood in the distance beyond fields of beautiful farmland and forests. It looked magical.
Daniella, who claims to be “not crafty” hand-made personalized wire hangers for each of her bridesmaids! Such a sweet touch
Not a dry eye in the place!
Once they were all ready, they opted to do a first look so they could take photos before the ceremony
I seriously love these bridesmaids. Did I mention that I went to high school with Daniella and I know half these goofy girls? Because they are amazing
Daniella did a first look with her Dad too
After a few family portraits it was time for the ceremony
Not your average walk down the aisle…
Yay! They got back on the carriage after the ceremony – sooo romantic
And then it was time for the reception! Everything was decorated beautifully. Can you tell Daniella loves pink
After dinner, I heard some of the most beautiful toasts of my life. My favorite was when both of Daniella’s sisters said that Chad was the big brother they had always wanted. So, so sweet
When the toasts were finished, Daniella, Chad and I ran off for a few more portraits before it got dark
When we got back, her sister had prepared a song to sing to her and Chad
After the song, it was time to cut the cake and do their first dance
After the Mother-Son dance, Daniella and Chad gave a little speech to thank everyone, but then threw in a little surprise! Chad’s parents have been married for decades, but never got to have a big fun wedding of their own. So sadly, they had never really had their own first dance. Daniella and Chad decided to change that. They played a special song just for them to have the first dance they never got. I almost started bawling
After that beautiful moment, they did the garter and bouquet tosses and it was time to partttayyy
Congratulations Daniella and Chad! It was such an honor to get to be there to document your wedding day. I am so happy for you two!!
