Nick and Erin | Portland Wedding Photography

I’ve done a lot of unique outdoor weddings this year, but sometimes it’s nice to do something a little different. Something a little more traditional. Something classic. Erin and Nick’s wedding was just that. A timeless, beautiful, classy affair. Because as much as I love the uniqueness of some weddings, there is something special in honoring the past. Erin and Nick got married at the same church that Nick’s parents were married in 32 years ago, and then held their reception at the Oswego Lake Country Club – the same place that Erin’s parents were married 30 years ago. It was a perfect sequel to an already beautiful story. A day rich in meaning and history for both families. We all started the day early – at 7:30am, as Nick and Erin got ready at the OLCC with their best friends. They gave each other sweet love notes and gifts, and then we took pictures of the guys and girls separately in the peaceful autumn morning fog. It was a perfect October day to get married

After we finished pictures, we went to the beautiful church

I caught Nick winking at his bride while everyone was saying grace. One of my favorite moments ever

Erin’s father gave a beautiful long toast about how Nick practically saved his life when he dislocated his shoulder and fell out of a boat during a day on the river. Talk about a way to impress your future father-in-law

Congratulations Nick and Erin! It was so, so much fun to work with you! Thank you for having me!
