Thailand | Travel Photography
I went to Cambodia last month for an epic photography trip, and then continued on to Thailand afterward to have some more fun, because heck, I was already in Asia anyway, and life is short! (You can read about the Cambodia portion HERE.) Thailand was completely different from Cambodia, but equally wonderful in its own way. It was me, two close friends, and an entire country to explore with almost limitless options. We started in Chiang Mai, rode a few elephants, visited a famous temple on Buddah Day, caught the end of the Flower Festival, and thoroughly enjoyed the city, the shopping and the food. From there we continued to Koh Samui, experienced the craziness that was the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, spent a day sea kayaking at Ang Thong Marine National Park, and then head back to the mainland briefly to hike and canoe in Khao Sok National Park before finally ending our journey on the beaches of Koh Phi Phi. We flew out of Phuket exhausted, sunburned, but feeling totally alive and refreshed. Thailand. Was. Incredible. This trip reawakened ALL of my passion for adventure. That wanderlust I try to ignore but that never goes away. Every day was unpredictable and I loved it that way. We met incredible locals and world travelers alike while exploring some of the most stunning natural scenery I’ve ever seen (it even gave my New Zealand trip a run for it’s money – especially Khao Sok). It’s so hard to explain in words, so pictures will have to suffice. Here are a few of my favorites, in random order. I hope I can return one day. And if you ever get the chance to go… just do it. Seriously. I was so so intimidated of visiting Asia before this trip, but once I got there I realized it was 100X better than I had ever imagined. So real. So rich in culture and beauty. So awesome
