Kristin and Michael | Cle Elum, Washington Wedding
Perched on a hillside, looking out over the lush green valley below, battling 30 mph winds, and singing their hearts out. That’s how Michael married Kristin. Her dad officiated the ceremony and surprised everyone by belting out “Don’t Stop Believing” right after the couple said their vows, getting the entire audience to sing along with him. Michael and Kristin then sang a duet to “You’re The One That I Want,” right before they kissed. It was incredible. But there was something else that made it even better. Kristin’s mom shakily picked up the microphone after dinner and said a few words that filled everyone’s eyes with tears. “Five years ago Kristin was completely bald and going through chemotherapy. We didn’t know that we would ever get to see this day. But here we are.” Here they were. One of the happiest couples I’ve ever seen. Kristin done with medical school, in residency, married to a wonderful man she adores who she met at an 90’s dance night of all places. Life is unpredictable and beautiful. Weddings like this are a reminder of that. Congratulations Kristin and Michael. I will never forget how awesome you or your day was
