Kim and Pete | Montana Wedding Photography
It was a weekend of freckles in the evening sun. A weekend of camp cabins, crickets chirping, and the sound of happy dogs playing in golden grass. A weekend of laughter, a weekend of drinking from the bottle, a weekend of friends and love and ridiculous fun. A weekend of adventure. Oh Montana, how I love you so. I trekked back to the state for the third year in a row for another Wassmann wedding, and it was wonderful. Kim and Pete are head-over-heels madly in love with one another and their day was a beautiful reflection of this. Tucked away at a Kiwanis camp in the Bearpaw mountains in Northern Montana, the location was a dream. Since I had shot with the same group of people two years ago when I photographed Kim’s brother’s wedding, it almost felt like I was part of the family. I played with their dogs, we ran around up into the mountains for some pre-wedding couples photos, we ate pizza , drank good beer, and I listened to their stories. It was a darn good time. Weekends like this fill my lungs with fresh air and my heart with warmth. To get to see the whole story, to spend several days with a group of amazing people and become a friend, not just a photographer – it is incredible. I am SO grateful and SO happy. Congratulations Kim and Pete, and thank you for allowing me to do what I love the most in a place that is beautiful beyond words
