Sarah and AJ | California Wedding Photography
Quirky yet classy. Yes. That’s how this day went. Sarah and AJ are both brilliant, artistic, and thoughtful people. Their wedding was simultaneously elegant and timeless yet still reflected their personalities. I loved it. Sarah also just so happens to be my cousin, aka I have known her my entire life and it was pure joy to get to photograph her wedding. Yes it was a hot, hot, hot day, but tucked away under the oak trees in Los Altos Hills, it was barely even noticeable. I was smiling the whole day through. Whether it was the sweet note AJ left Sarah in the morning, or the way they included a nod to AJ’s artistic background by creating a cyanotype of their rings during their wedding ceremony, or the way Sarah’s father messed up their “I dos” while he was marrying them, or the toasts that had Sarah in tears from laughter, or the calligraphy her sister spent so much time on, or the silly hat that Sarah borrowed from her friend during the reception and wore the rest of the night, or the way I found my whole big family breaking it down to Thriller as the night came to an end. Yes, it was marvelous. It was special. It was happy
