Switzerland | Travel Photography
Last week I went to Switzerland! I got a crazy cheap ticket from Portland to Zurich through Scott’s Cheap Flights (LOVE THEM!!) for under $500, so I said what the heck?! Might as well go to Switzerland! I had never been there before and its always been a dream of mine to see the Swiss Alps! As it turns out, one of my friends from high school happens to live in Lucern, and she offered to let me stay at her place! So I spent two days hanging with her and her Swiss boyfriend, then she flew off to Sweden and left me in her apartment. My talented photographer friend **Laura **was also traveling through Europe at the time, so she met me and stayed with me in Lucern for the next 4 nights. It was a short trip and the weather was pretty cold and cloudy, so we didn’t get to see THAT much, but I still had an amazing time! I really got to know the city of Lucern, and we had some awesome day-trip adventures to Bern, Brienz, the Unesco Biosphere Entlebusch, and my favorite – taking the cable car up Mt. Pilatus! Everything from the architecture to the lakes to the mountains was absolutely stunning. Everything was also crazy expensive. I also probably ate as much cheese as someone should eat in an entire year. I also have zero regrets about that. I took a ton of photos of my friend Laura and her beautiful red hair (sorry not sorry), so like 1/3 of this post is of her. I really wanted to photograph my other friend and her bf but their last minute travel plans got in the way so I didn’t end up getting to shoot them like I had hoped. But conversely, it was actually really nice to just take a pure vacation! Not pictured here: me sitting on the couch binging on Netflix and Modern Family while eating cheese and chocolate for like 5 hours every night after it got dark super early. Best. Trip. Ever
