Spring California Wedding at the Holman Ranch in the Carmel Valley
How do I even begin with this one? This Carmel Valley wedding was SO FUN. Lauren and Andrew welcomed me into their family with open arms and I felt so much more like a friend or bridesmaid than just another vendor. The romantic outdoor setting at Holman Ranch was mind-blowingly perfect and the coordination by** Engaged and Inspired** was so amazing!! Everything looked like it was straight out of a California wedding magazine. When I asked Lauren about her favorite memories from the day, she told me this: “My favorite memory was one no one else saw (and would also be good advice to anyone having a ceremony in front of other people) is that we carved out time alone right after our ceremony and got to sit together in that private courtyard and we actually re-read our vows to each other and talked about why we wrote them and what we meant. Andrew being an introvert got pretty nervous and choked up during our ceremony and he accidentally didnt read an entire page of vows haha, so we got our own private ceremony which was really special. So advice would be to block out time for the two of you just to take a breath together. And then go get drunk and have a blast!” She also loved the moment after we frolicked in the fields above Holman Ranch taking photos at sunset, because she ended up with approximately 1000 pieces of grass stuck in her dress and everyone crowded around her in a giant circle to help get the grass pieces out- even the caterer! Instead of stressing her out, it became one of her favorite memories from the day which was awesome! The day started out at two houses in gorgeous Monterey, California, with fresh sea air and lots of laughter. Then everyone drove up to Holman ranch for photos and a sunny outdoor ceremony and reception in the hills! It was pure magic and SUCH a gorgeous venue from a photography standpoint!! PLUS, so many of the people in this wedding have become friends of mine since this day. It’s wonderful to get to know a group of people so well that they honestly become your friends instead of clients!
