Day After Wedding Photos in Soufriere, St Lucia
Day-after Wedding Photos in Soufriere, St. Lucia
This is part three of Megan and Ryan’s epic St. Lucia wedding! You can see their pre-wedding photos here and their full wedding day here. On day 3, we took an epic road trip along the west coast to do some day-after wedding photos in Soufriere, St Lucia! It was so fun! For those of you who aren’t familiar, St Lucia is a tiny island in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. It’s farther south and a lot closer to South America. St Lucia is also extremely mountainous! Megan and Ryan got married on a beach in the northern part of the island at Calabash Cove Resort and Spa.** ** The location was epic, but they still wanted to get a few more pictures to show off the rest of the island! I knew we absolutely HAD to go to take some post wedding photos in Soufriere, St Lucia. The tiny town is known as the true “heart” of the island and it’s where you can see the Pitons! The Pitons are two CRAZY pointy volcanos right on the ocean. They are beyond stunning and I knew we had to take some photos with them! Our road trip (on the left-side of the road!) took us through small towns and jungles. We stopped along the way at a few vistas, met a cute goat, and chatted with some nice locals. One guy was awesome enough to let us use his private property for a photo! So cool. After that, we made a VERY last minute decision to rent a boat! My fiancé **Mikael **(our fearless driver) haggled down the price and suddenly we were at sea! The best views of the mountains are from the ocean, so it was perfect. Let me tell you though, photographing a couple on a TINY boat in ocean swells is not easy! I was definitely a little sea sick after! We went at the perfect time though, because as soon as we were done it started pouring rain. I loved the crazy mix of lighting we got though. Overall, these day-after wedding photos in Soufriere, St Lucia were SO fun. Getting to explore this beautiful island nation was a blast. I loved getting to know Megan, Ryan and their families so well, and having Mikael there too
