Government Cove Anniversary Photos in the Columbia River Gorge
Lauren and Andrew have become some of my all-time favorite clients ever. You might recognize them from their epic proposal and engagement shoot at Rowena Crest or from their colorful Carmel Valley rehearsal dinner, or their amazingly gorgeous California wedding at Holman** Ranch**. These two have truly become friends of mine and it has been amazing to document their relationship over the past few years! After a little over one year of marriage, Lauren reached out to me about taking some belated Government Cove anniversary photos in the Columbia River Gorge! I was stoked. She picked out the most beautiful golden yellow skirt and it matched the location perfectly. This spot is one of my all-time favorite locations in the Columbia River Gorge. It was a HOT day though. I had been hoping the gorge would be cooler than Portland, but I was wrong. It was over 90 degrees during this entire sunset session, but we made it work anyway! Photographing the big (and small) moments in people’s lives is SO rewarding and it is one of the reasons why I absolutely love being a photographer. It’s one thing to photograph people once – it’s another thing entirely to really get to know them and see how their love grows and changes over the years. I’ve always thought of love as a verb. Love is always moving and changing with time. Your love yesterday might look different from your love today. And that’s okay. It’s beautiful in fact. And it’s worth celebrating with photos that show who you are at various stages of your life. Lauren and Andrew, I hope I get to work with you for years to come
